Theatre Royal to unveil Shakespeare statue of Jonjo's Mercutio

A life-size bronze statue of the North East's favourite Shakespeare character, Mercutio, will be unveiled at the Theatre Royal by Royal Shakespeare Company star Jonjo O'Neill on Monday 23 April as part of the Theatre's 175 Birthday celebrations.

Shakespeare unlocked

The BBC are showing clips from the RSC's production of Romeo and Juliet. It includes Mercutio's (played by Jonjo) fight scene and death scene.

Bad Sugar

Jonjo is currently filming Bad Sugar, a new half-hour pilot commissioned by Channel 4 and written by Peep Show Creators Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong. It is reportedly a spoof of Dynasty-style shows and stars Olivia Colman, Julia Davis and Sharon Horgan.

New Radio 4 Comedy

logo_1 Jonjo will play Declan, a regular character, in a new series of Brief Lives, a comedy series for BBC Radio 4.

The RSC Ensemble Revealed

Jonjo took part in a night of comedy, tap dancing, wrestling, music, singing, poetry and much more at a gala RSC Ensemble event.

London Season
